I could not leave Hong Kong without a visit to Macau and search for what it was the Portuguese legacy from the past colonial times. One day, another stamp in the passport and aside the names in Portuguese in stores, streets and some of the buildings of the colonial age that still remained, little more reminded me of the once far-east part of Portugal. With one day to spare i could not look for much more at great length, but the Portuguese inheritance is most obvious here in this part of the world than in the simple “chicken portuguese style” that it is found all over Africa.
A boat race on arrival to the Territory and the habitual places , Senate squre, ruins of S. Pablo, Camoes garden, Cathedral plaza… you just google it and you will find out…
